Excellent AR state park!

This park has it all! Campsites are level with all the amenities. Playground and recreation field are fantastic. You can rent bikes, kayaks, pedal boats and small fishing boats. My parents rented a cabin and it was immaculate. Honestly, there was not one negative thing for our 3 day stay. This park is excellent for kids and grandkids of all ages.

Great spot

nice day use area ,boat ramp ,bathrooms, slip rentals ,see attendant at the rv park right down the street

love this park

Quiet and secluded with nice roomy sites, and plenty of wildlife such as deer, hogs, and turkey. It was beautiful surprise like a hidden gem. Located just south of where the Saline and Ouachita rivers combine. Under new management. Nice guy who is serious about the park and upkeep. Very friendly. Sites have water, electricity, fire rings, and nice bathrooms with showers. Not far from home. Will be back for sure.

Great little place

went and checked it out today looks clean, tight spots ,not much privacy and not a place to enjoy nature more like a trailer park would be a good place to stay if passing thru or long term they do have full hook-ups including sewer hook-ups

has a locked gate

well it looks to be closed they have put a metal building up and it now has a locked gate at the entrance

Quiet & Spotless

Spent 2 nights here, it's really well taken care of. All the sites are level, many with lake views. Only two short hiking trails. Boating & fishing here is very popular with the locals. El Dorado about 23 miles away for groceries/supplies/liquids. Camp store on site has basics, like ice and firewood.

lake Monticello

this place looks pretty run down since the lake has been drained for levee repairs the other reviews are not of this lake at least I know one is not this is no where close to bull shoals and no trout fishing around here I live 10 miles away I am putting up pix of rv park and park at lake with pix of empty lake

wow

This is a day use area and has been neglected. There is a boat ramp and bathroom. Pavilion is out of service and half the park is unusable. It used to be a beautiful park and could be again. What a shame.went by today 1-17-2021 gate locked must be closed for winter

great park

Great park! We had site 15 which was at the end of the park and had a beautiful, large site with plenty of privacy. Park was booked solid. B loop was closed so only 15 sites were available. $19 a night for a quiet and super relaxing weekend. Great hosts! Super friendly!Plenty of wildlife to be seen! We will be back! Boat ramp $5, pavilion $60. Nice day use area and playground but watch for snakes.% OK BACK AGAIN HALLOWEEN 2020 site 7 it is tight getting into and it is very close to site 6 the fire ring is like 6 or 8 feet from their hook-ups I would suggest another site and only 1 bar on my Verizon phone this time but pecans everywhere .quiet and relaxing as usual and pelicans are everywhere so cool and we picked up enough pecans for 2 pies
