Yuma

Ok park. Same as most in this area. Hundreds of miles of open land and they sites are as tight as could be. Nice people. Mostly full timers.

Good winter hold over

Staff are friendly and helpful. Park is fairly clean a couple of campers have what looks like a bunch of junk. Most are clean. Great access to of of Yuma area. For the money we are spending three months and are happy. Good base camp. There’s a very large sandy area next to camp ground to walk our dogs they love going to.

Truly kid friendly park

We loved staying here! They are under new management and they do such an amazing job. This is a great spot away from town and kid friendly. (The only place we were able to find in Yuma to allow kids for more than 1 week.) There are so many fun things to do without leaving the park. Such as; nice and maintained heated pool, bocce ball, pickle ball court, playground, clubhouse with a pool table, card table, air hockey, gym equipment. They had things arriving weekly. They have activities like, karaoke, movie night, card games, and so much more they were planning. I have not been in a more caring great community. We will definitely stay again whenever we go to Yuma!

Ok for the price

Park is currently near full with contractors working the border wall. Most are ok but there are some that are very discourteous, inconsiderate towards others. Management allows them to race up and down the roads with their dirt bikes and 4 wheelers.

Streets are pea gravel spread on top of what used to be pavement. Sites are soft sand and gravel that is not level or maintained by the park. Pool is old and in need or replacement and only receives maintenance once or twice a week at best.

Electric is metered @ $.20/kWh. Water is from a well and untreated, very hard and very salty you can wash with it but most get their drinking water from one of many “salt free” water dispensing station around Yuma.

I’ve lived here 2 years and have Seen both management and maintenance go down hill. The owner pays the place a visit once a year. This park for the price, compared to others in Yuma, is livable but is a bit outdated and run down.

This place is listed as “55 +” however the owner allows all the contractors as it provides him with income that he normally would not have during the non-snowbird season.
