Beautiful
The campground setting is beautiful - it’s in a canyon between Sedona and Flagstaff, there are lots of trees, and a creek, but the sites are small. We struggled to fit two tents in the site, but did manage it. The bathrooms are vault toilets, but they’re clean. No showers. There’s a picnic table, and fire ring in each site. It’s a lovely place to camp, but the sites are more suited for trailers or RVs unless you have just one small tent. It’s a great spot if you want to day trip down the road to Sedona, Slide Rock, or Montezuma’s Castle, you can also headup into Flagstaff for the day, and drink some great beer at their local breweries.
Oak Creek
Just outside of Sedona off of 89B there are some dispersed camping sites located along Oak Creek. No facilities or restrooms - there is fresh drinking water if you head to a nearby spring. Great at any time of year
