Where Arizona State Route 85 cuts through the Sonoran Desert, Coyote Howls West RV Park provides full-hookup camping in the small community of Why. The park features gravel pull-through sites that accommodate RVs up to 50 feet, though reviewers note the layout is densely packed. All sites include electric, water, and sewer connections, plus trash service.
Campers report decent cell service and clear desert views for sunset and stargazing. The park operates as cash-only with $30 nightly rates. Why itself offers minimal services—a gas station, convenience store, and breakfast restaurant—but serves as a staging point for desert exploration. Sister property Coyote Howls East RV Park sits nearby. The park works well for RV travelers needing full hookups while exploring southern Arizona's desert landscapes.
