Description
Open high-desert terrain in Coconino National Forest, this exposed pullout sits above the Dry Beaver Creek drainage with wide views and persistent wind — shade is nonexistent. Beaverhead Flats Road (CR 78) is the paved starting point; from there a rough, rutted track climbs about ten minutes to the spot, with a few rocky sections that call for high clearance. The level area is compact, sized for a van or a tent, with other dispersed options scattered along the road below for those wanting something less demanding.
