This US Forest Service campsite sits along Salamander Creek within the Tongass National Forest, providing creek-side camping in southeast Alaska's coastal wilderness. The site operates as an established campground under federal management, though specific amenities and capacity details remain limited in available records.
Access requires travel through forest roads, and campers should prepare for typical Tongass conditions including frequent precipitation and variable weather patterns. The creek location offers water access for those interested in fishing or water collection. For additional options, see places to camp around Wrangell, located several miles from this forest site.
