Pinochle Trail Campground

Accessible via the Glenn Highway, Pinochle Trail Campground provides drive-in camping on open terrain near Sutton. The established campground accommodates big rigs and offers standard amenities including restrooms, picnic tables, and fire rings with firewood available for purchase.

Sites cost $30-$40 per night with reservations available, and pets are welcome throughout the campground. The open layout provides easy maneuvering for larger RVs. Campers can explore nearby options at Matanuska Glacier State Rec Area just over a mile east. Book ahead during summer months when demand peaks.

Also, just a quick heads up, directions coming from Anchorage to the campground from the Glenn Highway: *pass the Glacier View Church on the left, *pass mile marker 99 *left turn on Pinochle Ln. *look for the Pinochle Trail Campground sign on the left (brown with white letters) * turn into pinochle trail campground.
