Yes, there is a mountain view!

General: 83-site Good Sam RV park, plus 15 long-term sites. 72 are pull-through; the rest are back-in.

Site Quality: Roads are gravel, but sites are on grass. The grass was a bit high in our site (22). Sites are close together with no separation, as is typical of Alaska RV parks.

Bath/Shower: Six all-in-one units with sink, toilet, and shower. Clean but NO SOAP in any of the bathrooms.

Activities/Amenities: Spacious laundry room ($4/wash; $2 for dryer, but I needed two cycles of the dryer). Quarters are available in the office. There is a reservable covered pavilion. Dog walk area. Propane fill available. Cell service is limited (Verizon), and I was not able to connect to the WiFi in our campsite (I believe you could in the laundry room).

This is fairly typical of RV parks we have found in Alaska. It really annoyed me that there was no soap in the bathrooms; I am not in the habit of bringing soap with me when I go to the bathroom; this deducted a star in my review.

Convenient and pleasant

I agree with the other reviewers. We stayed there on our way north to Denali. Like all RV Parks we’ve stayed in in AK, the sites don’t have any privacy, but the scenery is lovely. Liked it so will stay again on our way south.

What a view!!

This is a surprising RV park in the valley. With amazing views, Showers, laundry, and picnic tables at each site there’s nothing missing from this RV park. It is not cheap but relatively standard for Alaska at $45 a night for two people in a single RV it includes Wi-Fi, full hook ups, and laundry/shower access. Each person over the age of 12 is an additional five dollars per night. There is excellent cell phone and Internet coverage at this park. Distance from anchorage is 40 miles. The best sites are the farthest from the tree line so you can see the great mountain views.

Long Term Mountain Views

Good Sam member, offers full hookups with long term availability, propane, showers, recycling and awesome mountain views. Off the beaten path in between Butte and Palmer, this was a nice find. The sites are parking lot gravel style but very clean and well kept.
