Hatchers Pass

SUMMARY PRESENTED BYT-Mobile

Hatcher Pass dispersed camping sits on the Wasilla side of the pass, past the main recreation area, where pull-off spots line the road in good numbers. Sites vary considerably in size. Large rigs have shown up here, but many spots are too small to accommodate them, so bigger setups are a gamble. Campfires are allowed, and the area gives access to hiking, biking, fishing, and OHV use. Arrive early to secure a workable spot.

Hatchers Pass

Great place for dispersed camping PAST the recreation area on the Wasilla side. Tons of premade pull off spots for camping. I have seen big campers here before but a lot of the spots are small. You’d have to be lucky to get a spot for a big rig. Doesn’t hurt to try.
