Set among the trees about 70 miles north of Anchorage, Hatcher Pass RV Park features 18 spacious RV spots with electrical hookups; the park also has water and dump stations. (Tents are allowed as well, though there are no bathrooms on property.)

Your Basecamp for Adventure

Close to the Parks Highway, it makes for the perfect stopover on the way to Denali National Park, or as a spot to base yourself for adventures north and south. You’ll discover easy access to nearby fishing, hiking, and dirt biking.

For 10 years, this first-come, first-served RV park has been run by Scott and Wendy Jewel, whose home is on the property and who also own an air taxi company, Willow Creek Aviation. The on-site helipad makes it easy to book a scenic flight in a helicopter, making for a unique stay you won’t soon forget!

Plenty of room for big rigs

If you have a very large RV or a regular RV hauling your ATVs this is definitely an option. There are trees in between the sites.

You are so close to Hatchers Pass, Talkeetna, and Wasilla.
