      Great RV Lakeside Park

Third time at Millers Ferry! Water & electric hook ups . Good water pressure, dump station on property. Our site was paved and easily accommodated our 40 ft Rv/ fifth wheel & Dooley. Each site has a fire ring/with top grate to grill, picnic table, shepherd hook.Bathroom clean another one under construction. Nice playground. $1 for washer and dryer. Lots of sites are gravel as well, but level. Lots of people fish-parking for trucks & trailers at water ramp on property. No dog park, but lots of nature walks and paved roads to walk on. Oh yes, Lots of mosquitoes & ants, bring bug spray for a more pleasant stay! Shopping in town about 15-20 minutes away. Several good restaurants. There is a Piggly Wiggly, True Value Hardware, and Dollar stores. Approx 20-30 min to Walmart, next town over. Public lake for swimming, on site, with playground!

      Nice place

We just needed a stop with hookups for the night. But this place exceeded expectations. We had a pull through spot so we didn't have to disconnect our tow dolly. Gravel site was fairly level despite being in a hilly area. There's quite a bit of space between most of the sites (particularly the back in sites). Our site was right up against another pull through on our patio side though. No big deal, if we were coming to stay for a while we would get a back in spot. We did not check out the bathrooms or laundry facilities, but there are several of them.

      Off the beaten path

Its not impossible, just slow going. Roads to get here are narrow, hilly, and twisty, but in good condition. If you have a rig longer than 30ft and want room to breathe, get a pull-through site. The campground doesn’t do the best job at marking how to get to each site and some site number posts are knocked over, like Site #16, which makes it a little tricky to navigate. Water pressure is on the low side compared to other campgrounds. But the site views and peace & quiet are worth it.

      A favorite place

This is one of my favorite places to spend a few days. It is by a beautiful lake and a friendly, well kept campground. It's also close to home so it is easy to run down and get out of town.

      Great sites, lousy bathrooms

Large, well kept sites. Horrible bathrooms a long walk from many sites. If the urge hits, you won't make it. Bring your own if you can.

      Great But Noisy Around Holidays

I tent camped with two kiddos in spot #30 and we had a lovely view of the woods. Each spot has a gravel platform and some of my stakes wouldn’t grab but the tent held up. It was noisy at night with some folks partying but eventually it died down. Spots are a bit close (you can see the camper parked across the street from us) and you can easily hear comings and goings of other campers. It was May when we camped here and hot and very humid during the day. Cooler but still super humid at night. Each site has a nice fire ring, picnic table and a grill.

The guy at the front gate was super nice and helpful.

My kids enjoyed hiking and the bball court (where some other kids congregated). The nets were barely hanging on but still playable. The bathrooms were clean.

      Good For Quick Overnight Stay

Literally right off the interstate at Tuscaloosa. Much lower noise level than I expected. Definitely a parking lot, without trees. We are in site 9, pretty level gravel site, electric and water hookup only. 2 dump stations are available, 2 dog parks. 30 dollars a night. Mostly long term parking. No firepits or picnic tables. Check in by phone, no office.

      Best place we've ever been!

Talk about a nice campground! Secluded, quiet, right on the water. Only thing that would make it better is full hookup.

      Family Owned

GiGi & Don have owned this park for 12yrs. Most helpful!! I had what I thought a very low water pressure @ my site. Don took the time to unhook my water & show me my filter had collected so much sediment from previous spot, .needed to be changed ASAP. After, all good!! This place is neat/clean, organized ck-in process. Rates are awesome!! Def be back!! Reason for 4 stars?? Only 1 dumpster all the way in front of campground. More would be really helpful.

      Beautiful spacious sites

We spent two nights in Deerlick Creek campground. It is operated by the Corp of Engineers. The sites were large with new wooden picnic tables and water and electric. We stayed in a standard electric site because we car camp and our tent attaches to the tailgate of the car. The primitive sites were only available for walk-ins. We couldn’t find a place to put our kayak in the lake because it is very steep. The trails are not maintained or marked on a map.

      Chickasaw State Park Campground

      CCC Remnants , Chickasaw SP

Small road side park that the state had turned over to the County some years ago.

It only has 3 RV sites and typically offers water and electricity only.

Nothing more than a class "C" should stay.

      Tent camping is welcome.

Bathrooms were closed for the season and the water is off due to a leak.

There is a dump station located by the restrooms.

There is WMA property across the road that could be accessed for hiking.

      Nice Campground

If you like privacy , this is the place to be. Water and Electric for 28.00 a night . Every site has a grill , fire ring , picnic table and table. Some have decks. Smaller rigs are better for most sites but there are plenty of sites for bigger rigs. Have fun camping !

      Deerlick Creek

Deerlick Creek Recreation Area - No Disappointments

Deerlick Creek is a wonderful campground located northeast if Tuscaloosa, Alabama. I believe this is one of the best ACOE parks we've stayed in. An engineering challenge to put such well planned sites in such a diverse terrain... and making it beautiful and functional. We stayed in Site 33 which was a back in with a tiered layout from the parking pad to the balcony. The sites had 50/30/15 amp electrical, good water and pressure, table, fire ring, separate BBQ grill, tables and lamp post.

The bath house was very clean with showers and hot water but only one for the entire campground. However, I never saw a crowd there during our 5 days though so its probably all that's needed.

The camp hosts are awesome! Very friendly and super hard working the entire day. Every site is blown for leaf removal, grill and fire ring debris removed, water and electric verified operational after each use. Site pads are concrete and pretty level or at least site 33 where we stayed was. Our reservation tag was already posted when we arrived at our site so check-in was quick and without issues.

There are sites designated as tents only that are great! Very private with space and vegetation between them. There is also water and electric at each site.

A great paved bike path with deer abundant in the evenings. Boat ramp and beach swimming area.

We loved the park and the only reason for four stars vs five is due to sites 36 though 40. These are some of the most beautiful sites here but also the most difficult to get out of if your trailer is long. This is a dead end loop with a small turn around at site 39 and 40. Most rigs 26' or longer can not make this turn around. While we were there three campers required backing their rigs out of a challenging narrow single lane road with trees along the road way sides. A sign warning campers beforehand would be helpful.

Overall a great campground, we will return to this park again.

      Beautiful water front campsites

We live about 45 minutes from this campground. Planned a last minute trip for 2 days and had an absolute blast. It was middle of the week so we nearly had the place to ourselves. My son and I enjoyed the fish while my wife enjoyed a good book on beautifully shaded lot #13. The hosts were helpful and extremely nice.

      Quiet and friendly!

This little gem of a campground is kind of off the beaten path between Montgomery and Selma. The owners are very friendly and helpful and gave us a GREAT restaurant recommendation (Kimberleas - in old town Prattville) where we had OUTSTANDING meals! The campground is immaculate and very well maintained with each site carefully leveled with gravel to make set up easy! The sites are well placed and spread out so you don’t feel like you’re right on top of the campers next to you. Just a beautiful and bucolic setting and again, very very nice and helpful hosts! Highly recommended!

      Super clean!

Our first time to camp here; first impression was how clean the sites are. Warm showers and flush toilets. Our site is overlooking the water, each site has water and electric. $28 for RV sites and $20 for tent sites. Very spacious. About a 15 min drive to Tuscaloosa. No firewood or camp store, so plan accordingly. We loved it!
