Woodruff Lake offers excellent fishing for bass, crappie, bluegill and catfish. Boating, jet skiing and other water sports are big draws to the lake, and a boat ramp is provided for easy water access. The Lowndes Wildlife Management area, located nearby, covers 12,500 acres and provides prime hunting for whitetail deer, wild turkey, hogs and a variety of small game and waterfowl.

As an advid RVer its always hard to meet the title requirements. The park is easy to access off Hwy 80 and we chose a pill through {site 17} the site was clean and free of leaves, the park host even called us the morning of and let us know the site was open, she asked for a 1 hour heads up to be ready for our check in, all was ready when we arrived, she checked our senior pass and received a great deal at $12 per night. We had plenty of T-mobile service and streamed to our TV with no problem. Be prepared fro some mosquito action at around 5PM, so streaming TV will come in handy. Will book again this park, very pleased.

The camp ground has two areas along the access Road. Both areas are first come first served. These are sites without power or water hookups, or self contained rustic camping. Sites would allow car, van or larger campers/RV’s. No running water, but toilet facilities. Near dam and lock on ALABAMA river.
GuideThere was a lot of trash while I was here, there are bins but people didn’t use them? Or they did and nobody has come to get the trash bags? At least a truck beds worth of trash right now. However I am incredibly grateful for this spot, It’s raining and it is a paved easy road to get down in this land of low lying dirt roads, that was clutch. There’s a really nasty vault toilet down the hill, surprisingly there was toilet paper and what looks to be some trails but since it’s raining I probably will not partake.
Cool dam to watch if you drive down the hill too where the bathrooms are. It’s a shame that those who have used it have abused it, I’m going to clean it up the best I can, it could be a really pretty place.
There was nobody here in December on a rainy day. There are 2 loops - 1 for tents and smaller rigs and 1 that anything could fit. I wonder if this place gets busy, it is well used.

Third time at Millers Ferry! Water & electric hook ups . Good water pressure, dump station on property. Our site was paved and easily accommodated our 40 ft Rv/ fifth wheel & Dooley. Each site has a fire ring/with top grate to grill, picnic table, shepherd hook.Bathroom clean another one under construction. Nice playground. $1 for washer and dryer. Lots of sites are gravel as well, but level. Lots of people fish-parking for trucks & trailers at water ramp on property. No dog park, but lots of nature walks and paved roads to walk on. Oh yes, Lots of mosquitoes & ants, bring bug spray for a more pleasant stay! Shopping in town about 15-20 minutes away. Several good restaurants. There is a Piggly Wiggly, True Value Hardware, and Dollar stores. Approx 20-30 min to Walmart, next town over. Public lake for swimming, on site, with playground!

The campground is surrounded by creeks, rivers, and hunting land owned by the Army Corps of Engineers. I had a wonderful experience there along with friendly staff. They kept the bathrooms and showers clean.

We stayed in spot 36. We we're very close to the water with a little cutout to walk down to the water. Bathrooms were clean but had no AC, they we're fairly close to the site. Pull through site was easy to park but required side to side leveling. Verizon cell service was okay, bounced between 1-2 bars with 10-20 mbps. Quite a drive from Montgomery but well worth it for the morning views out over the water. Just a warning that the ants were crazy! We're still cleaning them out of our camper.

LegendIsaac Creek campground is very well laid out. All of the campground's staff are friendly, helpful, and just pleasant to work with. I stayed on site 45 which had an electrical problem, on going for several months, and although no one could come fix it the weekend I was here, they offered to immediately move me to an open site. The bathhouse was very clean, Can't ground and common grounds were also well kept. The marine museum is closed, looks like permanently. Overall this was a very clean pleasant campground to visit and would recommend it.

LegendArrived on Friday. Looked similar to others I had started at (and we have done plenty COE) Maybe the rain or something. Site has not been cleaned after previous campers. Trash bin at each site, was overflowing. Broken camping table left by previous also, still there. Maybe that’s the penalty for arriving on a long weekend. Would have given it the benefit of the doubt, but T-mobile and Verizon 5G both downscaled to 4G. Download ok, but upload sucked.

GuidePrairie Creek Campground was mostly empty during our 1 night stopover. It is an attractive, wooded campground with mostly shaded sites. Sites along the lake tended to be closer together than I like, but with great views. Sites across the street tended to offer a little more space and, in some cases, more privacy. There were only two other occupied sites in our loop at the opposite end of our section. I had picked a secluded, wooded campsite away from the lake, but was able to move to a secluded, lakeside campsite which turned out to be one of the most enjoyable of our 6 week trip. The bathhouse was old, but clean. It was pleasant to walk the dog around the campground with the added benefit of also being able to walk through the old abandoned campground that was destroyed by a hurricane.

Well this site was interesting. I checked it out but as a solo traveler my gut said nope. It’s free and the host at Issac Creek said it is safe. An outhouse and defunct ferry system that was very cool. It’s a long drop from the hard road to the camping area. Wet conditions could make for an adventure getting out. Clearly not maintained. I’m not saying no, just be prepared.
RangerCorps of Engineers Campground on the Alabama River with on site host. Well maintained facilities and plenty of retirees who found a good deal. Very long and wide paved sites. Room for large fifth wheel or motor coach plus a vehicle. Lots of fishing boats as well.
ScoutSuch a sweet campground! Very close to the interstate. Extremely affordable for full hook ups. Pull through and back in sites available. The only things to mention that are not the norm are. We didn't have to make a reservation and did not have to pay until the next morning. Also, no soap in the public bathroom. Just FYI. Perfect for just an overnight.
