Below expectations but with some work this place could be really good.

The Good:

The staff member that checked us in was really friendly and polite. She was a delight to talk to and did a great job explaining the information we needed to know.

The C57 lot is right beside the dam and put in area for tubing. It was nice to sit out back and hear the water rushing through the opening in the dam.

The site had 50 and 30 amp service, water and sewer. Everything worked great. The site was pretty close to level.

After the tubers were done for the day, the creek was a pretty quiet area. The fish were biting and several folks pulled up some nice bass throughout the stay.

Tubing is included with the stay.

The Bad:

The roads are gravel (well mostly dirt) and are full of potholes. They aren't maintained very well at all.

Coming into the park you pass an area with a bunch of full-time campers sitting nearly on top of each other. It's a rough looking area that you will need to pass by with entry or exit.

The grass wasn't maintained very well and there were clippings blown everywhere. The picnic table was covered, there were piles of grass all over and the grass / weeds on the walk down to the creek were knee high.

The firepit was full of trash and glass. I didn't even bother with it. It was also closer to my neighbor than my campsite. His firepit was an old rim.

Very little gravel to park the RV on. Mostly grass.

No room between campers. My neighbors awning was basically on top of my hookups.

Despite a lengthy list of rules, I didn't see any being enforced. Neighbors were shooting fireworks, open glass containers all around the water, no quiet time enforcement, etc...

Big Wills Creek campground and tubing

Ok so things might have changed since my stay. But as it was when I stayed which was July 11th it was a free for all when it came to getting a site. They give you a sight number but your not guaranteed that spot as I found out when arriving to see someone else in my spot looking at me all stupid lol... I was a bit aggravated by this but you can apparently choose any open sight if there is one. The other problem was people who tube there parking in the camping site's so you didn't have access to the site's.That has been changed because I went back to tube and they posted signs stating campers only no tubers park in camping area. The tubing is fun and the powered camp sites are limited but are right next to the water which is nice. They have showers but are located at the entrance of the campground so you have to drive to them. Also bring your own tube as they do not rent them currently due to covid and are expensive there if you buy from them. Went to dollar general not far from there and got some for 5 dollars. As far as the tubing you can tube until you get tired of it your not limited to how many times you can tube and they pick you up and take you back to the launch area and appreciate tips. They do have bathrooms close to camp area and a playground for kids and other activities for adults like cornhole and a huge outdoor pool table. They also have a laundry mat and a store with supplies. So overall the price is good and a great place to visit, camp, and tube.

What a great little tubing camping place

When we got here they said our site was LC10 but somebody was on it, but they said if somebody was on it pick a spot. So we got on C4 little shade from C2 all the really shaded lots are C7 on down. All tent/power sites are creekside I believe. Up on the end where we are is the “pool” area where tubing begins tubing was about 45-1hr to the end then they shuttle you back for tips. They have a store, bathhouse, laundry, toilet close to my site sites are close together. Fire ring on our site. Seen some dogs so pets welcomed. Should’ve brought my floats :( they aren’t renting because of corona virus $10 to buy one they were nice floats though. We ran to dollar general up the street. We had a great weekend will come back our site was $26.50 a night don’t see water faucets.
