Delta Lake State Park Campground

The campground facilities are very outdated. That's most likely due to the majority of "campers" having RV's and not needing to use the facilities. The restrooms/dish sink area Only having Cold water to wash up hands & dishes, the 1 and Only shower area for All 3 Loops reminded me of being in a horror film...full of dead insects everywhere, ther are signs posted letting you know its gonna take about 5 minutes to semi-heat up, and the shower spray directly on the floor vs staying contained withvh

This was our first time here, and we were looking forward to a relaxing visit. The sites were very large and well spaced out, with a beautiful fire ring. The bathrooms were clean. This campground got a 3/5 mainly because quiet hours are not enforced. Unfortunately, people were up blaring radios until approximately 3 am, being roudy. At approximately 2 am, someone decided it would be a good idea to do burnouts with their diesel truck, and went around the camp loop twice, doing just that. Vehicles were driving by the campsites all night long. This is naturally not entirely the campgrounds fault, but it was unfortunate to be misled by the campground rules. On a positive note, the campground is dog friendly, in certain areas, with proof of rabies vaccination, of course. Overall, I would say that this campground is geared more toward the RV and trailer crowd.

I'm not used to seeing so many druggies in a state park: they typically can't afford a state park. I pulled in and my site was free on both sides. Then a small car pulled in and a woman sat on the picnic table chain-smoking cigarettes. A little later a pick up truck showed up with three more people. A little later another vehicle showed up with more people. I think at one point there were at least five people, but you couldn't tell if it was a family or, some strange tribe. Well, they camped right under my window and proceeded to burn fallen sticks and branches and whatever they could find. They came and left a lot probably to get drugs.

Quiet campground. Hard to get a water site but over nice place. Not so nice campground staff

We stayed here a while ago while running the Boilermaker, at the time we had outfitted our twelve passenger van with a bed and used the electric hookups for our fans and chargers. We had a fire pit and picnic table as well. It was a beautiful spot on the Delta Reservoir, had plenty of trees and access to the reservoir for wading and swimming. The bath houses were clean and centrally located. Nice little no-frills campsite.

Great camping been here my whole life

A very nice, tidy campground located on a peninsula jutting into Delta Lake in Central NY. Our site was level and large enough for our 22ft Airstream, a 4-person tent, pop-up canopy, and 2 vehicles. A picnic table and fire ring were on the site. Our site had 30A electrical service. The surface of the site was dirt with some small stones…no grass. Trees surrounded the site on 3 sides, providing some privacy and a place to hang a hammock. We were able to carry our paddle boards to the lake, walking less than 200ft through some woods.

Nice spots in loop c. Loop a is quite open. Nice overall.

We had a waterfront hookup ! So pretty especially in the morning with the sunrise. The road to get in was for the most part well taken care of. It was pretty quiet especially after quiet hours everyone was very respectful. It got really windy at night which was nice to keep the bugs away. Friendly neighbors as well. There’s a few steps down to a gravel beach and an expansive view of the delta lake. There were bathrooms in the middle of our loop which was great and easy to walk to and it was very clean. There is a water full station when you enter but there are also a couple water spigots in our loop.

This state park is on the site of a lake created by a dam. The waters of the lake covered the old village of Delta in the early 1900's. The park has a boat ramp, beach, some easy hiking, and recently added electricity to all the sites.  Very popular area.

Was here with a camper on a lake accessing site. Sites are fairly big but not completely separated. Having the kayaks were great, there’s so much to explore, and town is right down the road.

It's very nice, especially if you can get a water site. They have recently added electricity to the sites and a new playground at the beach. The concession stand at the beach will deliver to your camp site.

We go here at least twice a season if not more. Spacious, mostly flat sides. Complete shade and a lot of sites right on the water. Peaceful park with a large beach area. The employees are the very best as well. Overall one of our best experiences camping.

Camped here all the time growing up. We had a 19ft boat and always enjoyed a day. A night in a tent afterward with marshmallows over the fire was perfect.

Stayed in the tent area with mature trees giving plenty of shade even at mid day. Two boat ramps for easy launching and quick retrieval of your motor boats. The beautiful beach is well attended with life guards on duty keeping you safe but still allowing much fun on the very clean white sand. The lake is a flooded area foaming a reservoir stocked with game fish as bass, perch, and pike. There is a very nice playground for the children and ample bathroom facilities including showers. It is opened in the winter months as well for snow mobiles and x country skiing.
