Relaxing Weekends

We just enjoyed being outside, made dinner at camp, and stayed up talking around the fire. This was a pretty spontaneous getaway for us and ended up being one of the more relaxing weekends we have had this summer.

Simple As We Wanted

What I liked about Riverbend East is that our trip could be as simple as we wanted it to be. We brought some food, a couple of chairs, books, and not much of a plan.

whole Reason We Go Camping

My favorite memory from our trip is probably the simplest one. I got up before everyone else, made coffee, and sat outside while the campground was waking up. No rushing anywhere and nothing that needed to get done. Sometimes those quiet mornings are the whole reason we go camping.

Food At The Campsite

I didn’t realize how much I needed a few days away from screens and work until we got here. Most of our time was spent reading outside, making food at the campsite, and taking walks. By the second day I had completely stopped checking the time. That is exactly what I want out of a camping trip.

Proper Camping Trip

This was our kids’ first proper camping trip, so we weren’t sure how they would handle sleeping somewhere completely different. They ended up loving the whole experience.

First Real Trip

Riverbend East was where we decided to take our new camper for its first real trip. We were still figuring out where everything went and probably took twice as long as everyone else to get settled, but it ended up being a great weekend. Having the hookups available made our first trip much less intimidating. We are already looking forward to getting back out again.

Easy To Come Up

We really like keeping our RV here for the summer. It’s easy to come up for the weekend, settle in, and enjoy some time outside without having to set everything up again.

Never Feel Packed In

We keep our fifth wheel at Riverbend East for the season and have been very happy with the amount of space around our site. We never feel packed in, and there is plenty of room to sit outside, cook, and enjoy a fire. The water views and access to fishing are a big part of why we chose this campground. It is a simple, comfortable place where we can disconnect and enjoy the summer.

Peaceful Atmosphere

Stayed here for a few nights and had a good time. Nothing overly fancy, just a comfortable campground with lots of space and a peaceful atmosphere.

A Nice Stop

Riverbend East was a nice stop during our trip through central New York. Our site needed a couple of leveling blocks, which is completely normal with our RV, and once we were settled everything worked out perfectly. The water and sewer hookups were convenient, the showers were available when we needed them, and the campground had a calm, outdoorsy atmosphere. We would stay here again when traveling through the area.

Sites Are Spacious

The sites are spacious, the campground feels natural and wooded, and there is enough room to enjoy your own space. We have met some wonderful people and look forward to coming back each week.

Peaceful Atmosphere

This is our second season at Riverbend East, and it has really become our summer home away from home. Our lot is large enough that we have been able to make the site comfortable without feeling crowded by the campers around us. We love the trees, the peaceful atmosphere, and being close to the water. It is nice knowing that whenever we have a free weekend, our camper is already set up and waiting for us.
