Description
This high-elevation pullout in Shoshone National Forest sits just off the highway near Brooks Lake Creek, at roughly 8,300 feet in the Absaroka Range between Dubois and Yellowstone. The parking area is large, largely level, and quiet after dark, with a pit toilet on site — and enough room that it rarely feels crowded even during peak season. Access is direct from the highway and the lot is plowed when the road is open in winter, making it a viable four-season stop for rigs of all sizes, though muddy shoulders elsewhere in the corridor call for caution after heavy rain.
