The Atlantic City Campground is in the South Pass area. It features 18 campsites, fire rings, garbage collection, water (weather permitting), picnic tables, and vault toilets. The site is ADA Accessible. There are seasonal closures and occasionally there is a host on site. Be aware, this is bear country!

Very nice location.  A few pull through sites.  Most sites up to 30’.  Plenty of vault bathrooms.  No dump station!  Very close to Atlantic City, great food there.

Great site in the mountains

Site 17 has two picnic tables, one on the gravel parking pad
 and one down a short flight of steps. The fire ring is by the bottom picnic table. The entire campground was clean including the vault toilets.

Clean and quiet

A really top notch camping area. It offers quite a bit. 

Bathrooms are very clean and there are 3-4 of them. There are multiple spigots  for water and trash bins. Each camp site has a picnic table and fire pit. Each spot has lots of trees so you really feel like you are in a forest. Great place if like to hammock. 

No service in the area which is nice, and it’s really close to Miners Delight and Atlantic City. 

Clean and fresh

This is a very nice campsite. The campsite host was super nice and helpful and recommended the perfect campsite for us. The whole area was very clean as well as the toilets. The sites themselves are very spacious and well kept. For $6 a night it’s pretty impressive. Potable water is also readily available.

Excellent Campground!

Nice, clean, and quiet.  This campground is a high quality BLM site.  Spaced out well, in the pine trees.  Beats crowded, packed in gravel CG's any day.  The GPS coordinates  posted are wrong.  Use these instead.   42.305400 N   108432568 W   at 8,219 ft. elevation.  The camp host gave us things to do, and directions.  We didn't go to "Miners Delight", but did go to "Atlantic City", and "South Pass City".   Atlantic City has a walking tour map, that can be picked up on Main street near the Mercantile location.  It was fun to follow the map and see the sites.  South Pass City has a restored mining town section.  Very interesting to see.  It's more of a museum setting, vs the usual souvenir selling tourist trap.   Fun to explore and see how the miners lived back then.  Highly recommend.

Camp in the Pine Trees

Very nice small FCFS campground. Clean pit toilets, water (can attach hose to fill tank). Quiet spot, good spacing between sites. Host was great - took good care and offered great suggestions on things to do in the area


Great campground

Just wanted to let everyone know that the price is going up to $20 a night due to inflation, contracts for trash pickup, vault toilet pump outs, cleaning and trash disposal.  If you have the "America the Beautiful" Pass or another one that gives you 50 percent off BLM, use it!  You can stay in the park for 14 days out of 30.  Most regular campers go to Louis Lake or disperse camp then come back to Atlantic City CG or Big Atlantic Gulch CG.  I host at both.  There are improvements coming but I haven't been given the timeline yet.  Hope to see you all and we will open for the Memorial Day weekend.

Good campground set in small aspen tree forest.  Small sites, not far from each other.   Were plenty of sites available on July 4 weekend.
