Fishing, swimming, and paddling draw campers to Luna Lake, where two dispersed sites sit along a rough, narrow dirt road off Forest Road 2140. Sites are first come, first served. The second site includes a picnic table, fire ring, and a reportedly well-maintained pit toilet, with a sand beach at the water's edge. The road conditions make this a better fit for tents or overland vehicles with off-road capability than for standard RVs, with a 15-foot maximum length. Campers exploring the Nicolet National Forest Luna-White Deer Campground will find another option nearby. Luna Lake works best for self-sufficient campers comfortable with primitive access and light crowds.
