Boat-in access only means reaching Allequash Lake requires paddling or rowing to your site, so plan accordingly before arrival. The campground sits within Northern Highland State Forest on open terrain along the lake, with picnic tables, campfire rings, and a $25 nightly fee. Reservations are available. Anglers and paddlers tend to get the most from this setup, given direct lake access. South Trout Lake Campground — Northern Highland - American Legion State Forest lies nearby for those who need a drive-in alternative.
