Managed by Washington State Department of Natural Resources, Bear Creek - State Forest sits just off Highway 101 near campsites near Beaver, giving it easy drive-in access but also a noticeable road noise trade-off. The campground holds around 15 sites set within dense forest, with picnic tables and fire rings at each one. Road noise carries during the day. Several reviewers note it fades considerably after dark, making nights more restful than the highway proximity might suggest.
A short trail leads down to the creek, and a handful of sites sit with views directly overlooking the water. The forest cover is dense, providing good shade across most sites. Reviewers consistently flag cleanliness as a concern, particularly around the two vault toilets and surrounding brush, so come prepared with your own supplies. One reviewer noted 2-3 bars of Verizon service, and the campground is listed as having cell coverage, which is worth knowing for remote planning.
Trailer users will find the campground workable but limited. About three sites can fit rigs up to 32 feet, and two pull-through sites are available. Misty Willows Farm and Camp is another option in the area for those needing more hookup infrastructure. The Cabins At Beaver Creek offers a different style of accommodation a few miles west.
No reservation system is in place. Camping is first-come, first-served and free with a Washington Discover Pass, so secure yours before arriving.
