Swimming, fishing, and hiking all factor into a stay at Lake Sammamish State Park Group Camp, where the lake and surrounding forested terrain give campers direct access to water and trail systems. The group camp format and $69 nightly rate make it a practical base for organized outings, and the site includes ADA-accessible facilities, picnic tables, a camp store, and pet-friendly policies. Campers should note the rough access conditions before arrival. Reservations are available and recommended, particularly for groups planning summer visits.
Description
Lake Sammamish State Park is a 533-acre day-use park with 6,858 feet of waterfront on Lake Sammamish. The area around the lake carries cultural significance as a gathering place for at least four Native American tribes. Boasting trails through deciduous forest and wetlands and two lakefront beaches, this park provides a family outdoor experience just off the urban grid. You may even get to share space with one of the great blue herons or bald eagles that nest in the park.
The Hans Jensen Group Camp is located at 4460 E Lake Sammamish Parkway and accommodates up to 200 overnight tent campers. The camp features a covered picnic shelter, 12 campfire rings, 4 vault toilets, and an amphitheater with large campfire circle that seats 50. This group camp area is primarily intended for outdoor and environmental education activities. Large group events or loud events are not appropriate for this area. Due to weight restrictions on the bridge over Laughing Jacobs Creek, vehicle access to the upper camp area is limited.
There is a minimum billable party size for this site. The unit price for a block of people may not accurately reflect the total price required. Confirm total payment at checkout.
