Good place to sleep

Nothing special. Just a parking lot a little off the highway. People are rolling in untill about 10:30 and start leaving at 6. Clean pit toilet. Nothing wrong with it, great place just to sleep and keep moving.

Sno Park Dispersed Camping

Big open lot where you can easily park cars/campers/RVs/etc. Lots of space and room to pitch tents along the edges. Long drop toilet. If you drive further along the forest road there are a few pull offs where you could probably park a small van or pickup but too rocky or sloped for a tent. Not very scenic but does the trick and is close to the national park. There appears to be a hitching post and a trail that leaves from the campground.

The large parking lot would accommodate vehicles for snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, or snowmobiling in the surrounding area. Its designation as a sno-park indicates it's primarily designed as a winter recreation access point, though it also functions as an overnight camping spot. For specific winter trail information, check with the forest service that manages the area.

What amenities and facilities are available at Goat Creek Campground?

Goat Creek Sno-Park offers basic amenities including a clean pit toilet/long drop toilet. The site features a large, open parking lot with ample space for cars, campers, RVs, and other vehicles. There's room to pitch tents along the edges of the parking area.
