Waltons Campground

Highway noise from Route 60 provides a constant backdrop at this small walk-in campground that accepts cash or Venmo payments on-site. Waltons Campground sits near water features and offers basic amenities including a clean porta-potty, drinking water spigot, and a woodshed stocking firewood bundles for $5. Security cameras monitor the entrance and exit points.

The walk-in access keeps vehicle traffic minimal within the camping area itself. Picnic tables and fire rings accommodate traditional car camping setups, though campers pack gear from parking to their sites. Solo travelers and those wanting campgrounds near Clifton Forge will find this spot manageable for weekend trips when seeking basic facilities without frills.

Great spot

Small, clean, and convenient campground off Hwy 60. Stayed here for a weekend car camping trip and really enjoyed it. I was the only camper, so I had the whole place to myself. The setup was very nice, with options to pay for your stay with cash or Venmo on site. There’s also a small woodshed with bundles of firewood for $5, a clean porta-potty, and a spigot. As a solo female camper, I also loved the fact that there were security cameras at the entrance and exit. The highway is definitely noisy, but over an awesome campsite. Would definitely stay again!
