Chris’s Private Property

Set just off the road in Thaxton, Virginia, Chris's Private Property is a small, still-developing campground with full hookups (electric, water, and sewer), WiFi, and a picnic table platform. Sites are flat gravel with pull-through access. A creek runs about 100 yards from the sites. Chris is reachable by phone, which proved useful for at least one camper who needed a last-minute spot during Memorial Day weekend. Campers wanting more established facilities nearby can consider Peaks Of Otter Campground — Blue Ridge Parkway, roughly four miles northwest, or browse campsites outside Thaxton for additional options in the area.
