Barbours Creek Road Dispersed — Jefferson NF

Jefferson National Forest's Barbours Creek corridor tucks this streamside pullout into a narrow valley of the Allegheny Highlands in western Virginia, just outside the boundary of the Barbours Creek Wilderness. The lower site sits directly along the creek — a designated stocked-trout stretch — with a fire ring and short informal trails leading to a nearby swimming hole; an upper dirt area offers a rougher but levelable alternative. Traffic on Barbours Creek Road is light, and the site reads as genuinely private despite the easy roadside access.
