The site lacks an established fire pit but offers space to construct one where campfires are permitted. Hardwood and white pine forest surrounds the camping area. Access involves moderate grades on primarily gravel roads, with detailed directions starting from Hunt Club Road off Route 501, passing the Big Island Hunt Club before entering national forest land.
