Sevier Lake BLM Dispersed

On the sun-bleached fringe of the Sevier Lake basin in west-central Utah, this open BLM pullout sits just off I-15 near mile marker 50 — close to the highway, but surprisingly quiet once the traffic thins at night. The flat, hardpacked surface handles big rigs and 2WD vehicles with ease when dry, though the lakebed clay turns treacherous after rain; a posted warning sign marks the point beyond which vehicles have been known to sink. Stay this side of the sign and it's a low-effort overnight with wide desert skies and little competition for space.
