A great getaway

This beautiful campground is nestled in the Unitas. And is a wonderful place to visit. There are definitely pros and cons to that visit though.

Pros:

Small campground and not crowded

Gorgeous views

Quiet

Near trailheads and fishing

Wildlife

Vault toilets

Drinking water for busy season

Cons:

The mosquitos were awful

No shade in a few of the spots. I mean NONE. Not one tree. Be prepared with a canopy

The road to get there is 4 miles of some of the worst dirt road.

I would still recommend this campground. Just be prepared.

Before heading out, check with the local Forest Service office for any seasonal restrictions or fire bans that might affect dispersed camping options.
