I’ll be back
Nice Town park with 53 sites according to the website. We came through on our way to Brown’s park and Flaming gorge . We used the dump station, $5 and took our dogs on a walk. The park was quite and only had 5 campers in it at the time. We are planning to come back and stay to explore this area of the state. There is gas and a convenient store on the next block. Below is a quote from the website.
During summer months, visitors come here to play on the Yampa and Green Rivers. They also enjoy Maybell as a gateway to Sandwash Basin, Irish Canyon, Browns Park, and Dinosaur National Monument. During the hunting season, our normal population of 75 nearly triples, when Maybell becomes home away from home to hunters. Spots are now reservable on camplife.com.

Good for a last resort stop but that's it.
This is a great small town overnight stop. It is on the side of the road in the last town before you hit no mans land heading west. There is power for RV’s and picnic tables. There is also a water refill and a park for kids to play. It is the last place to stop for water or dumping after steamboat springs.
There are 20 spots open for tent or rv camping. The park is maintained but not manned on site, and payment was an envelope (honor) system based on what you used- electric, dump, shower, etc.$20 a night with electricity and$15 without.$3 for showers.$5 dump station use. Open 24/7 year-round. No reservations needed. Sites are first-come, first-served.
Jumping off spot to see the wild horses in Sand Wash Basin
It’s a small town park with sites on two sides. Most have power and some none. We stayed on the northern side away from the main road through town. Water is available as is a dump station but power only at the site.
We used it as a jumping off spot to tour the Sand Wash Basin and it was fine in that regard. No Verizon signal but library is near by and you can pick up WiFi there in a pinch. Only one store/gas station in town and no restaurant.
