The Charmadillo

A 21+ getaway tucked deep into 44 magical acres of rolling hills. 10 minutes outside of Center Point, Texas. Tucked into the top of a beautiful valley, where hills rule supreme! While on the property spend your time enjoying the rugged trails, bird watching, dark night skies, and the quiet. Don't forget to take advantage of our communal amenities including sauna and outdoor shower!

The Charmadillo is a great base to explore the area! About an hour from both Garner State Park and Lost Maples. About 35 minutes to Hill Country State Natural Area. You can also find mountain biking, climbing, river access, and bat viewing all within an hour or less. Seeking a little more town life? You can find wineries, honkytonks, and charming bars and restaurants throughout the region and some just 10 minutes away!

We know that rules don’t feel the warmest or most hospitable, but we hope that by getting this out of the way now, we can provide the most relaxing stay possible once you arrive!

21+: We ask that all guests and all members of their party are 21 years or older.

DOGS *This is a pet free unit! This is so those with greater sensitivity/allergies can have a comfortable place to stay. Please choose to book units 2, 3, 4, 6, or 7 if you will be bringing your pet. Be advised it is likely that there will be dogs on the property in other units -We do ask that dogs do not go in communal buildings.

FIRE -Due the fire risk of our region as well as the remote nature of our space, we take fire risk very seriously. We ask that you do not build fires during your stay in any part of the property. If conditions allow the host may bring out a fire pit for all to enjoy. -Please do not start the smoker or the sauna yourself, let your host know when you would like to use them and she will start them for you. -Additionally we ask that there is no candle burning in your unit.

HUNTING No hunting is allowed during your stay.

VEHICLES Please park in the designated parking area. Please do not off-road anywhere on the property.

SAUNA If you choose to enjoy the sauna during your stay, please be mindful of your body and hydration level. Do not stay in sauna over 20 minutes at a time. Enjoy the sauna at your own risk.

LIABILITY WAIVER: The Charmadillo provides you with a unique opportunity to stay and explore a natural, rustic piece of Hill Country property. With that comes potential risks which includes but is not limited to uneven terrain, hilly rustic trails, barbed wire fence lines, native plants and animals and dim lighting. If you choose to imbibe in alcohol during your visit it may amplify these risks. We want you to take advantage of what this property has to offer and have a memorable visit. By agreeing to our Airbnb House Rules, you acknowledge the potential risks and agree to and accept full responsibility for any bodily injury that may occur to you and others in your party, and waive any claim against the owners for accidents or claims arising from these activities. By choosing to bring your dog to The Charmadillo and by agreeing to our Airbnb House Rules you are voluntarily assuming all risks, loss, damages, or injury that may be sustained to persons, animals, or property in connection with your animal.
