Description
A quiet shoreline pocket inside Sabine National Forest in deep East Texas, where a small loop road drops down to a grassy lakeside clearing with open water views and genuine solitude most nights. The access track runs narrow and gets muddy after rain — high-clearance or 4WD is advisable in wet conditions, and anything larger than a Class B or 30-foot rig will find the beach spur too tight. Wildlife in the area includes the full East Texas roster — alligators, feral hogs, venomous snakes — so camp and swim with awareness; the shoreline is shallow and wades out a long way before deepening.
