Where O.C. Fisher Lake meets the rolling hills west of San Angelo, Cabin Area provides full-hookup camping with electric, water, and sewer connections. The campground sits on open terrain near the lake's edge, offering boat-in and drive-in access despite rough road conditions that require careful navigation.
RV campers find level sites with picnic tables, while the area accommodates tent camping and welcomes pets. The lake supports swimming and fishing activities, with hiking and equestrian trails winding through the surrounding state park terrain. Campers can access showers and a dump station, plus enjoy evening campfires after days exploring the water and trails around this camping near San Angelo destination.

$4 per day, per person 13 and older.
OFFICE AND GATE INFORMATION:
Entrance Gates are open 6:00am – 10:00pm
South Shore Gatehouse Hours are 8:30am – 4:30pm daily.
North Shore Gatehouse Hours are 8:30am – 4:30pm daily, as staffing allows.
Red Arroyo, Isabel Harte Primitive Area, Limited Use cabins, and the Lakeview Day Use Area are closest to the South Shore Gate.
Bald Eagle and North Concho Campgrounds are closest to the North Shore Gate.
If you will be a late arrival, you must call the park prior to 5pm on arrival date for late arrival instructions - 325-949-4757 option 4.
Interpretive Tour Fees: Petroglyph, Permian Era Tracks, Longhorn, Bison, Dave Macey's Grave & Star Gazing. Contact Park for more information or reservations 325-949-4757.
Access to 40+ miles of multi-use trails from either N. or S. entrance. Watering troughs located throughout trails. Camping also available. Park has a small portion of the Texas Bison herd and official Texas Longhorn herd.
