The Drift

Nestled along the ancient banks of the French Broad River in the foothills of eastern Tennessee, this primitive campsite offers a raw, unfiltered slice of Southern Appalachian wilderness. Surrounded by the rivers slow-moving current and framed by dense hardwood forest climbing the steep ridges on The Bluffs side. Enjoy the sounds of water over river stone, the occasional splash of a smallmouth bass, and the distant call of a pileated woodpecker echoing through the canopy.

**There are no facilities here: Only picnic table and fire ring. There are no restrooms; just a flat, sandy clearing large enough for a few tents, bordered by a tree canopy and the faint scent of damp earth and decaying leaves. At night though, the Milky Way spills overhead unimpeded, and the river’s steady murmur lulls you to sleep. **
