Best Campgrounds in Tennessee

-absolutely gorgeous campsite #6! -creek running through the culvert under our driveway. Concrete picnic table, rocky terrain, a legit fire ring with two grill options, and a nice packed tent pad

-didn’t get lucky tonight as far as neighbors go, super loud and annoying groups at two of the sites nearby. One group in particular drove up at 10:30pm, it was a couple with, what sounded like, at least 3 little kids. They lit their smoky fire at 11:30pm and were jacked up on candy or something. The kids were so rowdy and disrespectful and kept the whole campgrounds up by YELLING non stop until 1AM. At one point they were all so loud that I yelled across the campground “SHUT THE F*CK UP! PLEASE STOP YELLING!! BE COOL!!” And their sassy kid said back, “We’re just talking!” But I swear, there were pterodactyl childish screams again and again, kids yelling at each other, mom yelling at the kids, at least the dad would calmly tell the kids to settle down, butt whippins, mom yelling “Shut Up!” at the kids, they were seriously the worst neighbors I’ve ever encountered while camping. Finally going to sleep now 1:09am

Four Corners RV resort is a fantastic find just 21 miles South of Nashville. We paid a weekly rate of $879 including taxes and fees for a back in waterfront site. We have fantastic water views from both sides of the coach. The pads are all concrete, wide sites, include a fire ring and picnic table. They have several fishing and boating docks. They have a dog park and a swimming beach with dog bath upon exiting the beach. They also have a nice adult pool and a large kiddie pool. They have a lot of Canadian Geese which are fun to watch but leave their droppings everywhere. The campground is very dog friendly with a lot of dog litter bags and trash cans throughout the campground. This campground is a great staging place for visiting numerous sites in Nashville. We like this campground and really have enjoyed the water views, we recommend this campground and will be back.

Owners are wonderful. The grounds are well maintained and kept there is a strict policy of no parking or driving on the grass and when you see it, you’ll understand. I thoroughly enjoyed walking, barefoot through it to the fields and appreciated highly the effort they put into keeping it so beautiful. You can enjoy a day lounging on the little river. They offer free lounge, chairs, canoes, and kayaks to use for campers. If you’d like to tube you can bring your own or swim across the river to River Rage and rent a tube which is what I did. You can have a fire at night either bring your own pit or they will supply you one free of charge and deliver it to your site. They sell bundles of firewood for five dollars, which is half the price of other places. There are no picnic tables; however, many bring their own foldable table. The sites are very spacious. My site was C3 on the creek which was dry but still wonderful. They offer Riverside sites as well. I highly recommend this campground.

We really enjoyed our stay at The Grand O RV Resort! The staff was super friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived. A man even led us to our site in a golf cart and helped my fiancé back in and park our trailer, which was a huge help.

The campground had a small store with supplies, a restaurant with a menu available (though we cooked our own food), and live music each night while we were there during the summer — a nice touch! There’s a train that passes by on the nearby track a couple of times a day, but it was never super early or late and didn’t bother us at all.

We stayed in the center of the park, which didn’t have much shade, but the outer edge sites seemed more wooded. The roads and campsites are made of small pebbles, which made it easy to drive and back in. It was overall very quiet, and the location is great — just off the interstate, about 10 miles north of Nashville, and roughly 45 minutes from Bowling Green. We visited the National Corvette Museum and Lost River Cave while we were there.

Our site had full hookups (water, sewer, and electric). The bathhouse was clean, air-conditioned, and accessed with a key code — two toilet stalls and three showers for women, all very well maintained. We didn’t use the laundry facility (if there was one), but the Wi-Fi was decent, and T-Mobile cell service worked well, even for using our hotspot. It’s a pet-friendly park (though we didn’t bring pets), and while there’s no pool or playground, there were some nice wooden swings to enjoy.

They also have firewood for sale and a propane filling station on site. Overall, we had a great stay and would definitely recommend The Grand O to anyone looking for a quiet, clean, and well-located RV park near Nashville!

This is my second time at this campground, because I love how the campsites, As many of them as possible, have great views of the water, and a lot of them are right on the water. I also appreciate that while there is an RV section of the campground, there is a whole island of just tent camping, that has a whole different vibe. So if your tent camper or RV camper, you will find your place. The staff is also extremely welcoming: I ended up switching sites for a period of my stay to be closer to the water, and they were more than happy to help with that.

We booked the camp because it had trolley access and was relatively convenient to the parkway and restraunts. We were very happy with the amenities for the price and time of year. Pool area was nice though not used by us. Bathrooms are very nice and clean. Clean roomy lockable showers. Laundry room was clean with all working washers and dryers 2.75 load and takes a card. Some sites including ours are very shady. We'll kept and level.

Trolley stop is great. Use it to go to transit hub and pick up the trolley to gatlinburg. We travel without a car in tow. So we move a 30' motorhome when we park so convenience is priority. Sugarlands is not to hard of a drive in the mornings to go for all day trail hikes in the park. Gatlinburg is just a few miles away. Great rv park. We enjoyed our stay and urban hikes I the morning for breakfast. We will return.
