Appalachia Ridge

Peacocks call from the adjacent Museum of Appalachia as campers wake at this private campground in Norris. The facility accommodates RVs up to 45 feet with full hookups including electric, water, and sewer connections. Mini horses and pigs roam the museum grounds next door, creating an unusual soundtrack of farm animals throughout the day.

The campground provides standard amenities like restrooms, showers, and WiFi for guests staying in the $50-$65 nightly range. Activities include fishing, hiking, and biking trails, plus equestrian paths and kayaking access. Pets are welcome, and reservations can be made in advance. For a more traditional state park experience, East Campground — Norris Dam State Park sits a few miles north.
