OK, so there were no zombies that we accidentally bumped into, but that said, the whole campground was supposed to have gone through a massive redo that was intended to be completed by May, but by the time our camping experience began (2 full months later), the whole place was still going through…

This is an amazing park, amazing site. Would return without hesitation. Great little swimming cove and water sport lake.
Mistletoe is a terrific state park. Very clean and up-to-date sites. Numerous RV sites on the waterfront. Waterfront sites tend to be water/electric, many interior sites seem to have sewer hookups as well. Verizon signal is 4+bars, plenty of bandwith. Lake was quiet this week as school was back…
Had a great time at Elijah Clark SP. lots are spacious. Bathrooms/showers are outdated but not to bad. Most spots have lake access. Will be back!

Good boat ramps and clean bathrooms.
Loved it here! It was beautiful and had great views. I would definitely stay here again. The sites were spread out enough that you don’t feel on top of others.

This park has so many positives...clean gravel wooded sites, numerous lakefront sites, new bathhouses, and spacious. Made the mistake of booking a premium full hookup, which was perfect except the lakefront sites (water/electric) would have been exquisite. On my "I will return" list.
We are enjoying our stay here on Lake Thurmond! There are spacious campgrounds with everything you need! Beautiful, quiet park!
This is a military campground

While the tropical storm weather cut our trip to AH Stephens Historic Park we still very much enjoyed our visit.
We stayed in 2 sites with the grandparents. #9 & #12
Site 12 was a very nice straight site with the picnic table and fire ring down a few steps off the back of the main pad.…
If you love the water this is the perfect park for you. With its own beach and multiple boat ramp areas, this park makes the perfect transition for camping and waterplay. Kayaking and yoga as the sun rises over the water could not of been more perfect.
We got to this wonderful campground on a Monday afternoon and left Friday morning and it was probably no more than 75% full that week. It was super quiet and well-maintained. The 72,000 acre lake is clear and clean and is great for boating, kayaking, fishing or swimming. My husband caught and…

We spent a couple of nights in Mistletoe State Park in Georgia while we investigated my husband's ancestry. This park is truly beautiful. As you enter and drive through the park you are surrounded by virgin forest and arrive at beautiful Lake Thurmond. Our campsite was the best we have ever had…
