Welch Creek Campground & Trailhead

SUMMARY PRESENTED BYT-Mobile

Within Umatilla National Forest, Welch Creek Campground & Trailhead operates as a walk-in Forest Service site that requires carrying gear from the parking area. The campground sits in forested terrain near both a creek and lake, with picnic tables and vault toilets provided for campers.

One visitor noted having the entire campground to themselves during a late summer stay, describing the creek as clear and very cold. The walk-in access creates easy vehicle turnaround at the parking area. Pets are welcome, and campfires are permitted in designated areas. For those preferring drive-up access, Oriental offers standard camping sites about seven miles north.
