Description
The forested highlands of Umpqua National Forest near the Clearwater Number Two Forebay hold a quiet cluster of campsites alongside a small reservoir ringed by cedar and fir, with dark, star-filled skies after sundown. Sites are well-spaced and the area stays uncrowded even on summer weekdays. The approach via FS 252 is steep gravel — manageable for large rigs but worth taking slowly — and cell service is reliable once you're there.
