The access track off NF 222 is narrow, moderately steep, and rutted in sections — high clearance is recommended, and the road's tight turns make it unsuitable for RVs or tow-behinds. Cell signal reaches the area, and abundant deadfall has historically made for easy campfire fuel, though the road has been blocked by multiple downed trees since at least mid-2023 and was still impassable as of September 2025; verify current conditions before making the trip.
