Mt Hood Dispersed Outside of Quarry

Sitting just outside a now-closed quarry on Mt. Hood, this dispersed site requires 4WD for the short but rough access road, particularly when towing a trailer. Expect company: the area draws visitors who come to shoot, and spent bullet casings are common on the ground. Campers who don't mind that activity pattern and have a capable vehicle will find it a workable base for fishing, hiking, and biking in the places to camp near Government Camp area, with skiing accessible seasonally. RVs up to 30 feet are permitted.
