With access to Cedar Lake and the 3-mile Cedar Lake Loop Trail, North Shore Campground serves as a base for fishing, kayaking, and hiking in the Ouachita National Forest. The $15-per-night campground features paved roads and driveways, making it accessible for campervans and other vehicles.
Sites include tent pads, picnic tables, fire rings, and lantern posts, with water stations distributed throughout the grounds. Two restroom buildings provide flush toilets and hot showers, though one closes during winter months. A boat ramp and fishing pier offer direct lake access. The campground includes both individual and group sites, with some available through recreation.gov reservations while others operate first-come, first-served. For equestrian camping, Cedar Lake Equestrian Campground sits nearby within the same recreation area.
