Three Ponds Community 

Heyburn Park features 47 campsites, a 2 lane boat ramp, courtesy dock, playground, 2 restroom/shower facilities, 2 group shelters, and a large swim beach with picnic tables. Recreation Boating, water skiing and fishing are all popular activities on Heyburn Lake. Common catches include crappie, bass and catfish. During hunting season, project lands provide opportunities for waterfowl and whitetail deer. Heyburn Public Hunting Area covers more than 6,000 acres of project lands and provides hunting opportunities for squirrel, rabbit, quail, waterfowl and wild turkey. Facilities The campground has 46 campsites with water and electric hookups, some of which have 50 amp service. Two group shelters, one with 50 amp camping sites and one day-use shelter by the swim beach, are available. Natural Features Heyburn lies in a picturesque setting of grasslands and gently sloping, sandstone hills covered with oak trees and scattered with hickory, ash, elm and cottonwood. In the spring, flowering wild plum and redbud trees add color to the soft, green landscape. Nearby Attractions Visitors can explore the various parks of Heyburn Lake including Sunset Bay, Overlook and Sheppard Point. Keystone Lake lies about 25 miles to the north and Tulsa is less than 30 miles northeast. ADA Access: N

Heyburn Park

Sheppard Point is an excellent destination for access to Oklahoma's Heyburn Lake and taking advantage of hiking and sightseeing on the multi-use nature trail. Sheppard Point offers a handful of equestrian-friendly sites where horses can be kept behind the sites on tether poles, with direct access to the trail system. Recreation Picnicking, horseback riding, hiking, fishing, water skiing, boating, swimming are some of the favorite activities at Heyburn Lake. Anglers catch catfish, bass and crappie while hunters seek white-tailed deer and wild turkey. Facilities Sheppard Point has a selection of both tent and RV campsites. Perks include hot showers, a boat ramp, playground, swim beach and multi-use trail to the perks. Group picnic shelters are available as well. Natural Features Heyburn Lake lies in the Sandstone Hills of the Osage Section of Oklahoma's central lowlands. The picturesque setting of grasslands and gently sloping, wooded hills, provides a stunning backdrop for recreation in the area. The area is mostly forested with oaks, blackjack, and the occasional hickory, ash, elm or cottonwood tree. In spring, flowering wild plum and redbud trees add color to the soft, green landscape. Nearby Attractions Visitors can explore the various parks at Heyburn Lake including Sunset Bay, Overlook and Heyburn Park. Keystone Lake lies about 20 miles to the north. ## Overview

Washington Irving South is located on the Arkansas arm of Keystone Lake, just 30 minutes from Tulsa. In Washington Irving's book, "A Tour of the Prairies," he forged the Arkansas River around the area. The lake's blue-green water, beautiful natural surroundings and wide variety of recreational opportunities make it a popular location for year-round fun.

## Recreation

Keystone Lake is a prime location for boating, water skiing, swimming and fishing. The lake is noted for its striped, sand, black and smallmouth bass, crappie and catfish. Downstream fisheries are accessible at nearby Whitewater and Brush Creek Parks.  
  
The park contains a boat ramp, dock, playground, swimming beach and a one-mile nature trail.

## Facilities

This well-shaded campground is separated into three loops with a total of 16 reservable campsites, many with water and electric hookups. Flush and pit toilets, showers, drinking water and a dump station are provided.

## Natural Features

Keystone Lake is settled into many small valleys and contains almost 26,000 surface acres. Its 330 miles of shoreline are covered with bottomland timber and post oak, blackjack oak and prairie fields, which provide habitat for a variety of wildlife, including squirrel, rabbit, quail, dove and waterfowl. 

## Nearby Attractions

The 400-acre Appalachia Bay Recreation Area, locally referred to as Motorcycle Island, is just 10 minutes from the campground and is popular with off-road vehicle enthusiasts. Sandy trails crisscross the area's beaches and wooded sections. Whitewater Park is an 80-acre off-road vehicle area next to the dam, about 15 minutes from the campground.

Sahoma Lake is a 340-surface acre, city water supply lake with recreational opportunities including tent camping, RV camping, indoor heated fishing dock, boat ramp, ADA accessible fishing dock, covered picnic area, and seasonal waterfowl hunting opportunities. The Sahoma Bait & Concession Store provides indoor restrooms and sells live bait, food, beverages, and city permits for fishing, boating, camping, and hunting (cash or checks only). Largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, channel catfish, crappie, perch, blue gill, and redear perch can all be found in the Pretty Water/Sahoma area.

Sahoma Lake is adjacent on the northeast to Pretty Water, a 25-surface acre, spring-fed, city water supply lake with day-use recreational opportunities including boating (non-gas motors only), ADA accessible fishing docks and paved, scenic walking trail, and stocking program for trout and channel catfish.
