Turkey Pass — Lake Thunderbird State Park, near Norman, Oklahoma, is a spacious campground that caters to both RV and tent campers. Lake Thunderbird State Park offers a variety of water activities and recreation. The park features two marinas (Calypso Cove Marina and Little River Marina), nine boat ramps and two swim beaches. Accommodations include over 200 RV sites with 30 full hookup sites, restroom facilities and primitive campsites. Lake Thunderbird State Park also features playgrounds, picnic tables and an archery range. A total of ten picnic shelters for groups and eight family shelters, as well as tent and RV campgrounds, can be reserved online.

Both the Lake Thunderbird State Park Discovery Cove Nature Center and equestrian trails are located in the Clear Bay area. The trails, which are open Wednesday through Sunday, cover four miles and feature 12 obstacles. Negative Coggins papers are required, and no on-site stables are available. An array of hiking, mountain biking and nature trails are also available in Lake Thunderbird State Park. Deer archery and waterfowl hunting are available in designated areas during the applicable seasons.

The Best Camping Near Norman, Oklahoma

This is a great park for the RV person; there is nothing out of the ordinary but there is easy access to the lake for all sorts of water sports and a marina is available. There is an ADA fishing dock on the lake and equestrian horse trails are available for the traveling horse owners. Other services can be found within a thirty minute drive. It can get hot during the summer months and ticks can be bad when getting out of established areas and off of the trails.

These sites are clean and improved. The area is crowded as it has amenities for RV campers. Sites have electric and water hook-ups. 

Improved for the RV

50 amp, water, sewer dump station on the way out, concrete pad, picnic table under the shade tree, fire pit, 5g T-Mobile cell service. Trees need to be trimed from the campground, you will get your rig scratched. We have a 40 foot fifthwheel and was able to find several sites that would work fot sat dish. Sites are not on top of each other. Lots of places for walks and the boat launch is just down the hill. We will stay here again, just hope they trim the trees.

Quiet spacious Concrete level sites with plenty of wildlife abound.  2030 and 50 amp with water no sewer hook up but there is a dump at the entrance of the camp  Ground. 

Thunderbird lake turkey pass campground, Quite spacious concrete sites with plenty of  wildlife around. 20/30/50 w/water no sewer hook up but a dump site is available at the entrance. Bathrooms are run down but painted as we were here . There is a boat ramp right here at this campground to the lake. Is an ADA accessible  Fishing dock.  Not a whole lot of folks here during the week.

Nice campground, on the lake with spacious camp sites most are pull through. Sites have 50 amp with water hookups, dump station for sewer.. have concrete picnic table, charcoal grill and fire pit.
Bathrooms are older but clean.  Showers have HOT water.

Great place, quiet location 

We stayed Monday and Tuesday night and it was very quiet. Great and friendly host. Sites are nice a spread out so you’re not right on top of each other. The campground is clean but my only complaint is the amount of litter at the boat ramp. There is a dumpster there and yet no one used it. 
3 bars of 5G for Verison and T-Mobile.
