Creekwood Farm RV Park sits on 20 acres of former farmland where a creek winds through the back portion of the property, four and a half miles from campgrounds near Lake Junaluska. The original barn and silo remain as landmarks on the grounds, giving the park its agricultural character. Sites pack closely together, with many of the creek-side spots available as back-in only configurations with full hookups including cable TV.
The creek draws many campers to the waterfront sites, though space comes at a premium. "Sites are packed like sardines," notes one reviewer, while another found "plenty of room" at site 73. Most RVers report easy navigation for large rigs on the interior pull-through sites, though some mention rough access roads. The park caters primarily to RV campers, with only about five tent sites available and restrictions on vehicle parking near tents.
Individual bathhouses provide private shower, toilet, and sink facilities that consistently earn praise for cleanliness. WiFi reaches throughout the property with reliable cell service reported. The park hosts seasonal events including vintage camper shows and live music on Saturday evenings. Premium creek sites include permanent fire rings, concrete patios, and firewood for the first night.
Staff accommodates various camping needs, from allowing pull-through use for travelers who prefer not to unhook to organizing community events in the dining area. Harold W. describes "spotless bath house with private shower, toilet sink" and notes the reliable amenities. Reservations are recommended, particularly for creek-side sites that fill quickly during peak seasons.
The location provides access to western North Carolina's mountain attractions while maintaining what campers describe as a quiet atmosphere despite the close site spacing. For RV travelers seeking full hookups with creek access, the park delivers on practical amenities within a working farm setting.
