Description

Black Mountain property provides cooler summer camping. We have 5 acres off a private road. Bird Creek runs through our property creating soothing babbling sounds. The terrain is sloped but we have several inviting, flat camping sites from which to choose. A community fire pit is in the center of the tent area with unlimited fire wood. If you are looking for a different camping experience we also have a 20 foot travel trailer for rent on the property. The area is loaded with rhododendrons, mountain laurels, hemlocks, birch and poplars to keep it cool and shady. A hammock is set up near the creek for you to relax on.

A mobile home on the property is used as a "clubhouse" and has a full bathroom, electrical outlets and a Berkey Water Filter system for our guests.

We love dogs. One well-behaved dog is welcome but it must get along with other dogs. We have a large, sweet, playful male that often romps unleashed. His job is to protect the property and keep away unwanted wild animals. Your dog is welcome to be off leash to play and explore under your supervision.

600 feet up the trail from your site is the summit of our property. You may get cell service for AT&T, US Cellular, Xfinity and probably others but not T-Mobile.

Plenty of hiking nearby and starry skies and lightning bugs at night.
