Lincoln National Forest's Slide Group Campground sits roughly two miles from Cloudcroft, giving groups convenient access to town stores and restaurants while staying within National Forest boundaries. The site holds four individual campsites, each with a fire ring and picnic table, plus a large covered pavilion, a group fire pit with bench seating, and a sizable parking area suited to RVs. Water is supplied via a 300-gallon tank. One vault toilet serves the entire group, and a single bear box handles food storage. A hiking trail runs directly behind the campground. Groups of up to roughly 20 people with a mix of RV and tent campers tend to find this layout works well.
