Our KOA is conveniently located near attractions such as the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta , the world's longest aerial Tramway , and we are the closest campground to Expo New Mexico Fairgrounds. The campground is also conveniently located near a variety of restaurants, the aquarium, zoo, multiple museums and the fascinating Old Town shopping district.

One Nice Bedroom , with King size bed , for 1-2 adults, dog friendly , dogs must have a leash and please clean up poo each and every time . We do have another bedroom with Queen size bed also. Each room is $70- . per night . Unless , a 14 day or longer stay.
Shared bathroom ( comes with towels, soap, shampoo , and lotions ) We have an awesome laundry room and pantry , Please bring laundry soap. You can NOT wash sleeping bags or large quilts , there is a laundromat right down the street.
Bed comes with all bedding and pillows, Room as a desk to work at. We have great WIFI .

RULES, No smoking, no drugs, ( we are 420 friendly , outside only ), no drinking to a point too much party, thank you, dogs must be well behaved , please have a leash, please clean up poo each and every time . There is a park for walking just around the corner . Must keep spaces clean and neat . We have a place for trash, recycling and even compost.

We arrived in the evening and only stayed one night. Whe facility was super clean. We walked to nearby restaurants. There was a hot tub open, but the pool was closed.
TravelerThis is our second year staying here and it is still amazing. They have a hot tub, dog wash, games, swimming pool, and playground! The sites are a little small if you are in an RV, but all in all a great camping ground.
RangerWe only got to stay one night at this Campground but it was awesome. The staff were friendly and helpful and the store was well stocked. They have nice laundry facilities and lots of spots for the doggies to play. They had a playground hot tub and a bounce pad for the kids. It was safe and quiet we will definitely stay again.
RangerWe had a good time at this KOA. Enjoyed the pool (hot tub wasn’t working), bounce pad, mini golf, horseshoes. The store was useful too. Staff was friendly. Past reviews mentioned that this KOA was in a terrible neighborhood, but it didn’t seem so bad to us and we had no incidents. CG is gated and staffed 24/7. Showers and bathrooms were nice and clean (although some had a few puddles in them from campers who showered and didn’t fix the shower curtain correctly. Laundry was helpful (quarters needed). I’d stay again.
ScoutWe've been full-timing for four years, and this was my first KOA stay. We were hesitant about the destination, since it was located in such a densely populated part of town. However the campground was clean, secure, the staff and other campers were friendly and courteous. Some of the facilities, like a satellite bathhouse and the hot tub were out of service during our visit, but it was of little consequence. We were in town for work. Starbucks was a very short drive away. We'd merrily stay there again if the need arises.
GuideWe stayed here only overnight as part of our cross-country trip. Overall, nice for a quick stay but would not for an extended visit.
Pros: Everyone there was friendly and accomodating. They have personel maintaining the gate 24/7. Restrooms & showers were clean. They offer RV sites, cabin rentals (which we were told they were all booked but saw no one there- possibly closed due to pandemic though), and tent sites. We tent camp. The site had a fire ring, picnic table, a shaded area, and is covered in pea gravel. The shaded area is not waterproof or "fully" covered. But seems it would help with the heat to provide some shaded comfort. It rained the night we were there, and I was unable to get all of our tent spikes into the ground for our rainfall (think there may have been concrete a few inches below). If you are staying for an extended time, I recommend bringing a tarp that you can tie to the shaded area to help with heat / rain. Each tent site is separated by a privacy wall (see pic). The best part was the sunrise! Absolutely stunning as you are literally at the base of the mountains. You just have to ignore the giant Geico billboard on highway in your view.
Cons: EVERY review will tell you about the noise from highway, and it is no joke!! We were so tired we did not care. But it is BAD! If you are looking for peace and quiet - THIS IS NOT THE PLACE! You can see the highway wall in my pics. It appeared to be in what seemed as "not the best part of town". It is fully gated 24/7 which I appreciate, but makes you wonder where you are staying. However, we did not have any issues, and the few people we saw were all very polite. We arrived later in the evening and ran out to get a quick bite, but everything closes at 9p so be mindful.
Pandemic note: We stayed here 6/1/20-6/2/20. Everyone was wearing masks, VERY mindful of social distancing, and you could not even go in to the office - they come out to you.
I would recommend this only as a quick stop-over / last option campground.

There's nothing to dislike here. But if you find something, let them know, and they'll fix it. ☺ I'm in the camping area 🏕. There are many people who frequent this area. Returning over and over again. Plenty of children, dogs, and the usual traveler. I've seen business men with laptops, who are sick of hotels, and city folk with pop up cabins. Everyone is always happy here.
GuideNew Mexico is a land of wonders and beauty in every turn. From its famous green or red chili and the smell of roasted chiles in the streets to the beautiful sandia mountains that shimmer at sunset to the many parks and recreation areas to explore. New Mexico truly is like no other state and must be on your to bucket list!
TravelerEnjoyed the site! They had RV, cabins and tent camp sites. My friend and I are tent campers and there was more than enough space for the vehicle and both our tents. They have showers (limited to 5 mins but better than nothing!), they have a dishwashing stations and two bathhouses. The lady at the front desk was helpful and extremely nice. There is a store really close by also! They have charcoal grills at the tent sites and one communal fire pit. We paid about $20. Would absolutely go back again! The sad part is the museum is closed due to lack of funding 😭
RangerNot too far off the highway and only about a mile and a half to a decent grocery store. Location is secluded and quiet. Staff was friendly and got us to our site quickly. We have a small RV which fit nicely into our spot but larger RVs were stacked close together as the space between sites was small. Looked like lots of sites had multiple vehicles so seamed crowded.
RV sites are gravel with a little grass between. Not much shade and it was very hot in July. Could use some updates and additional spacing.
Tent sites were not being used but liked a little shadier and had trees between. Some small cabins available.
Showers and bathroom was basic but clean.
TravelerPretty typical Journey KOA. The camp has a pool, showers,play ground, flush toilets, showers and various camping sites to fit your needs. They seem to have 2 types of cabins here. Trees are pretty sparse, so shade is limited. It's also pretty clear that they are using quite a few sites for storing RVs / Trailers on site. Can't say that I've ever seen that at a KOA site before. It's right next to the interstate so there is definitely road noise. Plenty of semi trucks and pretend race cars zipping by. We are in an overlanding vehicle with a tent on the back but we're able to sleep. Granted we were pretty tired. All in all this is a pretty nice place and a good jumping off point for all things ABQ.
GuideCampsites are level full hook ups. Nice people they have Wi-Fi nice bathrooms there’s a really great grocery store downtown called the B St., Café. It was $36 if I paid cash and that was with a 10% discount

GuideStayed twice - once with full h/u, once with W/E. The FHU was a far better location with concrete pad, much less highway noise, and much better bathrooms. Sites are decent distance apart, not on top of each other but can certainly see each other. Sites are all nice and flat. Not much tree cover. COVID ops means amenities are limited but nice dog park.
GuideWe stayed at this KOA for two nights during a cross country trip as we passed through Albuquerque in October 2020. The only reason I give 4 out of 5 stars and not 5 out of 5 stars is the urban location is not much to look at. The campground itself is very well-maintained and the staff are extraordinarily friendly. It was incredibly convenient that there were a number of large RV dealerships in the immediate vicinity, so we were able to pick up some supplies that are not easily found at Walmart locations. We stayed in a large pull thru site that actually had a dedicated "pet suite" with astroturf for our dog. That's the first time we had seen that on a trip and we were pleased with the amenity having come from so many places that don't have grass anywhere.

GuideSo, the park itself (inside the huge gates protecting you from the surrounding area) is nice. Decent for kids, spots are nice sizes, they do keep it clean.
The bad? Where do I begin. It's in an area where gunshots and people shooting up in broad daylight are the norm. Park employees and management are micro managers. Plus they outright lied to us about a monthly spot. And it's so beyond overpriced I can't even explain. The pet areas are an absolute JOKE. We felt so unsafe, and annoyed with employees, we left.

There were not any fire rings or bbqs in the middle electric/water sites but was able to use our propane pit. Pads are asphalt and close to level. Batbrooms were clean and pool was refreshing after a long days drive. Staff is friendly and come by to pick up your trash so you don't have to haul it to the dumpster.

GuideSo, the park inside is ok. Pros: they do keep it clean, bath and laundry are nice, kids park and jump pillow are nice etc. Cons: the strees and area surrounding the park aren't just dirty, but dangerous. We heard gunshots, saw people shooting up with needles in broad daylight, homeless everywhere, urinating in parking lots etc. So don't plan on being on foot outside the park gates. Also, inside the park, their new upper management are micro managers. Don't do this, don't do that. And lied to us about no weekly or monthly spots available. People pulled in after us and paid those rates but we got stuck with $1700 for 3 weeks. A huge rip off. They triple the cost of propane, ice etc. We went through the hassle of moving to another park in the area just to be done with them. Good luck if u have dogs that need walked. Pet areas are a joke but you're not technically allowed to let your dog potty outside of those areas. Someone hollered that our male peed on a tree en route to the pet run. How do u stop a male dog from hiking? Finally, sites are super tight. And the sewer hookup for the site next to us was literally inches from OUR picnic table. All sites are that way. Your neighbors sewer hookup is right outside your front door. And if you've got a large rig with side or rear patios, don't even think you'll be using them.
