Description
Carson National Forest's FR 437 corridor climbs into a dense mix of aspen, pine, and fir at roughly 8,450 feet, offering a quiet, forested pull-off well removed from developed campgrounds. The road is passable for vans and high-clearance SUVs but can be rough enough on rocky sections to challenge a standard passenger car. Additional dispersed spots continue farther along the road, and the gates encountered along the route were open during summer visits.
