The Best Camping Near Carlsbad, New Mexico

Cool spot, but beware of NAILS! Other than that, some night you might get some loud locals riding OHV on the other side of the lake. 

Lakeside camping

Just needed a place to pop up the RTT with others in the convoy it worked but it’s definitely rocky and has nails at certain locations drive with caution ⚠️. Great views of the sunset on the lake besides the abandoned motorhome in the way 🤙

Not a bad pull off if everything is full

We didn't stay. Trash all over the place and dudes just sitting in their vehicles doing nothing. If I was armed and alone, I might have stayed. 

Trashy 

We had an okay night. Police rolled through to check an abandoned RV at midnight, nails are no joke, literally everywhere you walk. But it was very quiet and had a great view.
