Thousand Trails Lake & Shore is located in Ocean View, NJ, featuring flat terrain with nearby lakes and coastal areas. Located just south of the town of Seaville, and a mere 30 minutes from Atlantic City, Lake & Shore RV Resort is the ideal place to settle in to relax and recreate along the Jersey Shore. With so much to do right in the resort, you may not be inclined to leave, but you also have the Cape May Wetlands Wildlife Area, Cape May National Wildlife Refuge, and Cape May County Park and Zoo just minutes away. There’s also the famous Atlantic City Boardwalk and Aquarium. Lake & Shore RV Resort offers 70 transient RV sites with full hookups in a cozy, wooded area. Four of these sites are ADA accessible. There are also five designated tent campsites. There are restrooms and showers available in several locations; a dump station is located . The resort also has a number of cottages and long-term sites. Wifi service is available for an extra feel. Dogs are permitted, but must remain leashed. Contact the resort for current rates. The resort’s main area is where you’re likely to spend most of your time. Visitors have access to a clubhouse lounge, game room, indoor and outdoor playgrounds, an outdoor pool and kids’ water park, a picnic pavilion, and putt-putt golf course. Fishing, swimming and paddling are available on the 12-acre lake, as well as beach volleyball and a community fire pit for gathering in the evenings. Near the back of the resort are sports fields, horseshoe pits and shuffleboard, as well as walking and biking trails.

The Best Camping Near Dennis, New Jersey

We stayed early in the season and found it to be a little closed up still. It was very quiet and had a few chats with the Ladies in the office who were very nice and informative. I would like to go in season but you have to reserve a year in advance.

NIce Place

This is our first stay at this Thousand Trails resort. 

We had a reservation that we made using the App. The app did not allow us to book a stay starting on a Thursday, Friday, or Saturday so we checked in on Sunday. The reason i mention this is that when set up in our site our neighbor told us that there were plenty of empty sites all the previous week - he stays here frequently and recommended calling rather than using the Thousand Trails app.  

Next note - the resort did not reserve a particular site and suggested that we drive around and select the one we liked. That was ok and we got a nice level site with a concrete pad under the picnic table. Partially shaded. Consideration - As we have a class B unit we will be in and out of the site - we needed some way to designate that the site was taken if we went out. The resort did not plan for this ( see later note ) but they did come out and give us a length of caution tape to us to block the site. 

This is a fairly large place. The sites are clean but small. Far and away this resort is used by seasonal and cabin campers. They only have a few ( maybe 25 or so) transient sites which they seem to allocate on on a first come first serve basis. If you have a class b and plan to go in an out i recommend you bring some sort of indicator to mark your site as occupied. 

We came in late September so the pool was closed but the lake side beach was still open. The beach was clean and had beach chairs. 

The camp store has limited offerings, was not open on Mon and Tue, and closed at 4. This may have been because we were late in the season. 

Nice place

I get you need to have rules to keep order, but when I say the people at this campground were a little extra, I mean it.  We stayed 2 nights at Land &amp; Shore and the first night was Friday night and all 6 families that are members with our own sites were hanging out around a fire pit and at 1016pm someone security person drove by with one headlight and told us at 11pm we would have to pit our fire out. I think it was a little bit overkill and there was other campers that had a fire going, we were not being loud or anything and when she came by or anything so we didn't understand the urgency of telling us that, plus when did quiet time mean you couldnt sit by the campfire. The next day when I was in the hot tub my daughter walked up to me to ask if I could get her a drink and she was not about to get into the water but the over concerned lifeguard walked up to say ... you need to be 18 to be on the hot tub and we all looked at each other that were in, and the old man next to us says well we all are and he said we'll she's not and he replied for me l, that good thing she wasn't in then ...  let a parent be a 
 if you see someone not obeying the rules, okay, but we were, and we don't need your 2 cents because you're not even 18. I liked the area but  wouldn't go back to this same campground, the sites are way too close for me and your practically on top of your neighbors, but we went with family so... the beach is within 10ish minutes and is beautiful but your suppose to have passes, we biked around the area and along the beach it was very nice. 
I did like the lake and waterpark. However, the water in the waterpark was ice cold.
